Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME universal domain name extension is the sole TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are popular by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to secure john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought 3rd-level domain names remained active.

Through our company, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer code from the current domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no special restrictions on who can get a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
